Office Supervisor

Responsible for overseeing operations of the practice under the Medical Group's policies and standards.???Supervises personnel, billing, and financial operations.???Responsible for planning, problem-solving, and recommending opportunities for practice growth, charge capture, compliance, and cost savings.???Acts as liaison between physicians, staff, and patients.???Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission and values.??????

Principle Accountabilities: ?????????% of Time Spent??????
1. Oversees daily practice operations. ??????20% ???
2. Checks patients in and out, answers telephone, rooms patients, performs outpatient test scheduling, pre-certs and referrals, and enters patient data in EMR. ?????? 10% ???
3. Responsible for meeting meaningful use, pqrs, HEDIS, and other reporting standards. ???10% ???
4. Coordinates scheduling of staff to ensure that appropriate staffing is available to???meet the medical office's requirements. ???10% ??? ???
5. Analyzes office operations, problem solves, recommends and implements improvements. ??????10% ???
6. Responsible for charge capture, daily close, and coordination with the billing company. ??? 10% ??????
7. Maintains appropriate records including payroll and processing of invoices and other expense items for administrative approval and accounts payable. ?????????10% ???
8. Performs annual merit evaluations. ??????5% ????????????????????????????????????
9. Orders office and medical supplies and minor equipment to meet practice needs. ?????????3% ???
10. Interviews prospective employees, selects and trains additional support staff as???appropriate. ?????????3% ???
11. Maintains credentialing of physicians through CAQH and/or with individual insurance plans. ????????? 3%??????
12. Attends monthly manager meetings and conducts practice meetings for physicians and staff.??????????????????3%?????????

Education
High school diploma required.
Experience
Medical office experience required. Supervisory experience preferred. Strong computer skills and communication skills are vital. The assessment, care and treatment provided by the Supervisor will be consistent with the specific age related needs of the patient. The Office Supervisor is competent to care for patient age groups consistent with the specialties of the physicians in the practice.
Working Conditions
Employee is required to sit and walk frequently. Employee must lift/carry a light (1-20 lbs.) load frequently, a medium (21-50 lbs.) and/or heavy (50 lbs. +) load occasionally. Employee may be required to lift over 100 lbs. with assistance. Employee is occasionally required to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, climb, lift waist to overhead. Employee is frequently required to reach forward and reach overhead. Employee may be required to do simple grasping and pushing/pulling.

The most significant of duties are included but this does not exclude occasional work assignments not mentioned or developmental duties.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
